Riverside Primary is awarded the GOLD RE quality mark
Following an inspection on July 21st, we are delighted to announce we have achieved GOLD status for the Religious Education Quality Mark.
Mrs Elson has been so dedicated to her role in leading our pupils in their religious, cultural and spiritual journey and we are so proud that her efforts have been recognised which such a prestigious award!
Quotes from the assessor:
“Riverside is a community school in socially challenging circumstances However, the school’s motto, Michelangelo’s, ‘Yet I am still learning’ is lived out in its commitment to providing pupils with educational experiences that will shape their lives and raise their aspirations. RE is central to this mission. The school’s rich, innovative curriculum is wholly underpinned by RE. This gives pupils a deep understanding of faith and a respect for diversity and belief that they will take into their lives. RE is taught dynamically by a team of knowledgeable, enthusiastic and committed staff. Leaders are demonstrably committed to sharing their work with pupils beyond the school and this has achieved local and national recognition.”
“The team's live evidence and a clear pupil voice was far stronger than the school’s evidence form. Rather than the tentative silver/gold claim, the reality is that Riverside’s RE provision is among the strongest I have ever encountered. Since the initial conversation with the school, it has acted further to strengthen potential weaknesses. I have no hesitation in confirming a Gold award.”
